Alexandra Orlova - Violin

Alexandra Orlova was born into a musical family in Russia in 1990. She began studying the violin at the age of 6 at Arts School and later continued at College of Music in her hometown Togliatti. 

In 2009 she entered Michail Mindlin's class in Saratov State Conservatoire. During her intensive studies there, she won award for the best performance at the modern composers' competition. Alexandra was also granted the honour of sitting as subleader of her Alma mater symphonic orchestra for its 100th anniversary concert – an event which was held in the prestigious Moscow State  Conservatoire's great hall. After gaining higher education in 2014 she moved to Malta where she became freelance musician, playing in Malta Philharmonic Orchestra and various ensembles across Maltese Islands.
