Simone Valeri - conductorSimone Valeri was born in Pisa in 1972. He is among one of the most appreciated orchestra and choir conductors, and organists in Italy. He started his studies with Mro I. Barontini, than he graduated in Organ and Organ Composition from “Conservatorio Statale di Musica L. Cherubini” in Florence, under the guidance of Prof. M. Mochi. He studied in the same institute Harpsichord with Prof A.M.Pernafelli, Improvisation with Prof. L. Damarati , Gregorian Chant with Prof. F.Dantimi, Conducting and Choral Conducting with Mro F.Facchinelli and Mro G. Acciai (Choir conductor of the “Rai Chamber Choir” in Rome). He perfected his technique with Mro H. Vogel, G. Bovet, J. Boyer, C. Stembridge, E. Cominetti and R. Alessandrini.
Valeri graduated in Orchestra Conducting with Prof. M. Boni (Honorary Director of Concertgebouw in Amsterdam) at Imola Academy under the guidance of Vladimir Ashkenazy. He is a member of the “Artistic Commission of the Sant’Anna Superior University” in Pisa, and he is President of the Regional Artistic Commission of the Choir in Tuscany. He participated in several national and international competitions, and he won first prize and Honour Diploma at T.I.M (Torneo Internazionale di Musica in Rome). |
Valeri played for the funeral of Senator G. Spadolini in presence of President of the Italian Republic Oscar Luigi Scalfaro. He usually participated as a member commission of Chant and Organ International Competition. He records for record labels: Discantica, Fonè, Tactus, Eurarte. Valeri has collaborated with famous musicians as Katia Ricciarelli, Dimitra Theodossiou, Paolo Pollastri, David Bellugi, Marco Fornaciari, Bozena Steinorova, Andrea Bacchetti, Enrique Batiz, Peter Tiboris, Ertur Korkmarz, Alessandro Pinzauti.
He has conducted several Operas and Symphonic Programs all around the world with important orchestras as Symphonic Orchestra of the University of the Nuevo Leòn, Symphonic Orchestra of the State of Michigan, Chamber Orchestra of the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, Symphonic Orchestra of the State of Mexico, Baskent Academic Orchestra of Ankara, Ensamble Fonè, Symphonic Orchestra of the “Teatro del Giglio” in Lucca, Chamber Orchestra of Imola, Symphonic Orchestra of the “Teatro dell’Opera” in Volterra, Orchestra of the “National Theatre” in Sarajevo.
Simone Valeri is a composer and arranger too, and his compositions are performed by several choir and musical ensemble and in festivals throughout Europe. He was Artistic director of Symphonic Orchestra of the “Teatro del Giglio” in Lucca (2012-2014) and he is Artistic Director of the “Teatro Persio Flacco” of Volterra, he is a member of “Accademia dei Riuniti e dei Sepolti”in Volterra, and is also an artistic testimonial and member of the Artistic Commission of“Fondazione Arpa” chaired by Prof. Franco Mosca and Andrea Bocelli. He has more than 800 concerts to his credit and performed throughout Europe, Russia, Mexico, Australia and America.
