Gianpiero  Cristaldi - Trumpet

Gianpiero Cristaldi studied music under the guidance of Maestro Edmund Volzone and  music and trumpet with Maestro Giuseppe Marletta, former principal trumpet of the Teatro Massimo "V. Bellini "in Catania. 

Cristaldi graduated in trumpet at the Musical Institute "V. Bellini "in Catania under Maestro Carmelo Faith and attended courses in Electronic Music with Maestro Alessandro Cipriani and Chamber and Ancient Music with Maestro Antonio Politano.

He has also studied with John Baron, Maurice Andre, Hakan Hardenberger, Bernard Soustrot, Enric Aubier, Vincent Penzarella, Vincent Chikowitz.  At the Conservatoire de Lausanne in Switzerland he studied modern and baroque trumpet with Maestro Gabriele Cassone and chamber music with Maestro Roger Bobo; direction of Band and Brass Band with Maestro Pascal Favre and for two years was chief conductor of the Brass Band of Moudon in Switzerland. 

His work as a performer in a duo with organ and piano led him to tour Sicily and  Italy.  Currently, he holds the post of first trumpet soloist with the Band of the Italian Navy.
