Riccardo Bianchi - ConductorRiccardo made his debut in 2012 as a conductor in St Petersburg (Russia) with the State Hermitage Orchestra and he conducted the London Classical Soloists, the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra and Malta Youth Orchestra, the Kammerphilharmonie Graubunden, the FVG Orchestra, the Mihail Jora State Symphony Orchestra the “Virtuosi Brnensi”, the Hans Swarowsky Orchestra and the Nuova Cameristica di Milano Symphonic Orchestra.
He is currently Musical Director of OSM (Orchestra Sacro Monte di Varese) and he is employed at Malta Philharmonic Orchestra as Intern Conductor and Conductor in Residence at Malta Youth Orchestra He recently worked at the Rossini Opera Festival in Bad Wildbad (Germany) as Maestro di palcoscenico (stage assistant) for the Guglielmo Tell of G. Rossini and as Assistant Conductor for Le Chalet of A.M. Adam. During the production, Riccardo took care of the orchestration for band, choir and orchestra of “Hymne a Napoleon III” of G. Rossini. In 2014 he made the critical edition of Tebaldo e Isolina di Francesco Morlacchi for the first modern performance, with maestro Antonino Fogliani as a conductor in Rossini Opera Festival in Wildbad. He is leading the choir of Jardin Musical Music school in Lugano. Furthermore, Riccardo currently works as a conductor of several vocal and instrumental groups and he is Kappelmeister at the S. Massimiliano Kolbe’s Church in Varese (Italy), where he works alongside Organ Master Andrea Gottardello.
Particularly relevant, was the setup of The Seven last world of our Saviour on the Cross of F.J. Haydn with the participation of very prestigious musicians of the Teatro la Scala di Milano and member of the Quartetto d’archi di Milano. Riccardo performed the Italian premiere of John Stanley’s complete sonatas for organ and strings with Andrea Gottardello and Nicola Bisotti (Kammer Klavier duo).
During the same production, Riccardo conducted the first Italian performance of Stabat Mater of Carl Josef Rodewald for female choir, soloists and chamber orchestra.
He conducted the premiere of the Symphonic Poem “Una notte a Punta di Mezzo” by Andrea Gottardello, for double choir, soprano, organ, piano and orchestra with the participation of the pianist Roberto Plano in occasion of the bicentenary of the foundation of Varese City.
